Ok so hi, hello, hola, ni-how, halo, adeo..... you know.... sup? Im not especially good at this, the whole blogging thing. Mostly cause when i sit down to write down everything that has been going on, it is never as witty or interesting on paper, or well technically on screen, as it was in my head. Course i'm sure  most people reading this know me and are probably afraid to know what goes on in my head.... sometimes I wonder if everyone has as much going on but then I think they do but just dont have the word vomit that I do. Well this is neither here nor there.... because the reason I am writing is less about my basic physiology and more about Espana. Ok so I cant figure out how to do accents on my new computer. Probs cause I'm a stubborn idiot who wont look at the directions but then again this is in English... once again.... here nor there.... But here.... I'M HERE!!!!! So map time... for the geography major in all of us! So I'm in Palma, which is the capital city of Mallorca, and island off the east coast of Spain in the Mediteranian. (Side not, I cant spell, my computer can, but sometimes I forget or am too lazy to switch it all... so if you are like, girl you need some special attention (said with a finger wage), I know, Its an issue that is being worked on..... anyways, I always said if you can't spell it, you shouldn't be it.... so in my case many careers such as surgeon (dang double vowels) and litigator were out of the question... and now the case of if you cant spell it you cant live there comes in to play cause im already here and I cant spell Mediterainain. Yeah I didn't fix them on purpose to show you how nowhere close I am to spelling it correctly.) Wow that was a long aside... oh and I use a lot of ellipsis.... get use to it.

So yeah I got here and the director and the secratery from the school came to pick me up and brought me to the school. It was around noonish and they were so cute and stopped and go me a snack, a ensaimada, a traditional mallorcan pastry to eat. When I got there I was greeted with a fury of hugs and double kisses (sometimes I don't know if I should handshake the american way or double kiss the spanish way so I do both... you know, cover all my cultural bases) and coffee. Praise the lord they had coffee! But not just any coffee, espresso. Yes I love myself some espresso. And they have this cool machine that is like a Keurig but on steroids. Whos excited? This kid is!!!!!! Then Lourdes, the amazing teacher that I'm staying with (till monday when I get to move into my apartment) asked my if I wanted to come into her class room for an english class and I was like heck yes!!!! The kids were funny cause they were forming questions for me and some were like, 'how old are you?' and others were like 'what car do you prefer?' I was like, um one that drives.....? Apparently they have been asking Lourdes about me everyday so seems like a good sign.

Apartment searching has been interesting. The first one I went to was really close to the center of the city but the room was really small and it was with two older ladies and I want to live with people my own age so I politely declined. (side note, everyone here speaks spanish and mallorcan which is a variation of catalan.... which i can mostly understand but cants at all speak) The second was a hot mess, like super run down old.... yeah so no. The third was amazing, new and a little outside the center, like 10min walk.... but there is a giant balcony.... And the last one was kinda in the middle all round, med length to center, larger room, small balcony..... anyways which do you think I chose????????

Ok well I got to get going. I'll try and make myself write more today since apparently I'm on a roll. I went to the beach yesterday which was an experience in naked french women and speedos..... so yeah laterssssss.
