Its, like Spain

Hear Ye Hear Ye,

So i've just gone through two days worth of anxiety attacks over grad school. Basically I'm a hot hot HOT mess. One day Im like, yeah education (i love coloring and singing songs), and then the next day Im like, Medical Interpreting is awesome (I like sick people). And then this inner battle happens where Medical Interpreting has a throw down with Spanish education and all like

"rwar, I am like way more cool cause like no one knows what I am and I can like save       lives (or kill people)" but Spanish education is like "you smell, I get to act like i'm perpetually 12 and I don't have to worry about killing anyone."
And then Medical Interpreting comes back with "Yeah well interpreting is wayyyyy more interesting singing "head shoulders knees and toes"
And then Spanish Education ends it with "yeah but I get the summer off!"

So yeah, crazy internal monologue. Thoughts? I dont really know who won, cause obviously Im conflicted to start with. Any official mental referees out there are invited to call the match winner. It would be much appreciated.

ANY WHO!!!!! Last weekend I went to a small town called Sa Pobla for their Autumn Festival (I always forget that autumn has an 'n', cause seriously you don't say it at all). It was super fun and the first time that I took the train on the island. We left around 1pm and it took about an hour....We got there around 2 and ate lunch till about 4pm. Everything didn't open till 5 so we just walked around and explored the city. When the festival finally started it was PACKED!!! There was food everywhere and wine (yummy) and crafts and all sorts of crazy things. I ate so much food I totally felt sick, but it was worth every uncomfortable footstep. There were stands for roasted almonds which I defiantly bought.... huge like 20 bucket long tables of olives and 20 ft long tables of candy. As you can imagine, me of little self control, ate everything I saw, thus resulting in the discomfort. But it was fun to see people from all over the island coming for the festival. Sa Pobla very colonial with some interesting Moorish architecture. I took tons of pictures of all the food... most of which i ate after taking the picture!

There was this crazy bonzi tree dislpay. I had never known how bonzis are made and it made me kinda sad... but its still an amazing art.... I kill cactus' so I was mad impressed.

They had a ton of sheep on display... there were babies, and I got to pet them. But dont worry, I washed my hands before I ate.

Is that what I think it is? Why yes, thats a pickle stuffed olive!

Yummy Yummy large vat of black olives grown on the island.

I had a tasty pork loin and veggie sandwich for lunch!

My friend Adrinne got this gorgous mixed cheese salad. It was HUGE!
This gives you an idea of how many types of olives they have. And each vat is huge, like 20 lbs or more!

This is a sign that is telling you to pick up your dogs poo... cause alot of people just leave it. I just love that the dog is actually pooping in the picture!

On Sunday I went to Soller with some friends. This time we took the bus and it only took about 30 min to get there. We went to the botanical gardens first and they were freaking beautiful. There was this man-made like stream or water dispenser that went around and through the whole garden and it was super cool. It reminded me of this water trough toy thing I played with when i was little. I took picture of the flowers and natural plants of Palma. I took all my pictures on my iphone and they turned out great. I mean like not professional Ansel Adams sorta deal, but like nice hang on my wall in the living room type photos. After we for a hike on this stone path. Soller is in a valley in between a bunch of mountains so if you climb the path for a bit you can see down into the valley and its breath taking. At first I was totally Asthma-ing out and feeling like I was going to pass out. But I stuck with it and it was super fun. Im not a big sustained exercise kinda person but I surprised myself and enjoyed the hike. I would definitely do it again. It brought me back to my camping roots when I used to go camping every summer with my family. Nothing like peeing in woods to bring back the sweet memories of the outdoors.

Anyways... yeah, so that about it. Oh I don't know if everyone knows this about me but I like to eat in bed. To be honest I like to do most things in bed, first and foremost sleep... but also do my homework, read, color, and EAT! Now yes, I do enjoy sitting down to the table every once in a while, but if its up to me, I will chose the bed as my dining area. Some people I know think this is weird.... one person even forbade me to eat on their bed.... but I think they don't know what they are missing. A comfy soft place to enjoy a nice salad or a plate of spaghetti is just the ticket. Try it and report back. You will be a changed person.
